1880’s Ordnance Survey Plans

Both the Record Office and the Library Service hold large-scale ordnance survey maps covering the Rhondda Cynon Taf area. Editions of these maps have been produced from the 1870s at a scale of 6” and 25” to the mile.

Useful for pinpointing the former site of collieries or buildings and charting the growth of a community over a period of time.
